Each box has been curated by our team of world travelers to transport you across the globe. Your subscription will have curated books chosen for capturing the very essence of the featured location. Also included is an ethically-sourced premium tea, a limited edition fine art print from an  photographer or artist, bookmark, and exciting gifts representing your journey. The most important thing each box contains is hope. Each box provides life-saving nutrition for two children and/or pregnant women across the world.

In addition, we source many of our products from small businesses that pay a fair wage and provide a safe working environment to their employees.

How It Works

How often will I receive my boxes?

You will receive one box each season (one box every three months). Here are a few examples:

If you subscribe in Jan you will receive your journeys in Jan, Apr, Jul, and Oct

If you subscribe in Feb you will receive your journeys in Feb, May, Aug, and Nov

If you subscribe in Mar you will receive your journeys in Mar, June, Sep, and Dec 

What are the dates for each season?

Winter - Orders received between Jan 1st and March 31

Spring - Orders received between April 1st and June 30

Summer - Orders received between July 1st and Sept 30

Fall/Holiday - Orders received between Oct 1st and Dec 31st

When will my boxes ship?


Your first box will ship within one business week of your order (except during holidays). Subsequent boxes will be shipped on or before the 15th of the month. Renewals will ship after the renewal date.

Renewals take place on the 11th of the month. NOTE: Some USPS shipping times may be longer than usual.

I ordered a multiple quarter subscription, when can I expect my next journey?

You will receive one box each season (one box every three months). Here are a few examples: If you subscribe in Jan you will receive your journeys in Jan, Apr, Jul, and Oct. If you subscribe in Feb you will receive your journeys in Feb, May, Aug, and Nov. If you subscribe in Mar you will receive your journeys in Mar, June, Sep, and Dec.

Do You Ship Internationally?

Yes we do! We ship USPS international and rates vary depending on the country.  International subscribers are responsible for any customs and duties their country may charge. Please note USPS shipping rates to Canada have increased as have shipment times. 

What is your return policy?

The Wordy Traveler will accept returns of damaged or defective books up to 30 days from the date of shipment for replacement or box selection credit; however, there are no refunds. If you return a damaged book, we will send you a replacement copy. If a replacement copy is not available, one book credit will be applied to your subscription account and will be applied to your next renewal.

What if there is a problem with my box (broken items, missing items, wrong book, duplicate shipment)?

Your happiness is our primary concern. If there is a problem with your box or your box is damaged please contact us immediately at support@thewordytraveler.com and we will do everything in our power to make it right! 

The post office says my shipment was delivered but I don't see it?

Your happiness is our primary concern and we understand how frustrating the mail can be. Please contact your local post office or visit https://www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm to file a claim. 

Can I switch from Non-Fiction to Fiction?

Yes, Please email us at support@thewordytraveler.com and we will be happy to help switch over your subscription. (You might also want to consider a subscription option offering both!)

Can I change my subscription choice?

Yes, Please email us at support@thewordytraveler.com and we will be happy to make the change for you.

Gifting

Gift recipients will receive a shipping notification and gift message when their box is shipped. If you wish your gift to be a surprise please enter your email instead of the recipients email during the checkout process. At checkout you can choose if the gift subscription is to be renewed or not by checking or unchecking the renewal button. Please email support@thewordytraveler.com if you would like a PDF gift certificate.

What if I already own one of the books?

Please email support@thewordytraveler.com and we are happy to substitute a different title if available. If you already received the book, we will send a return shipping label and when we receive the returned book we will ship our the substitute title. 

Substitutions by The Wordy Traveler

Although rare, there are times that due to a decreased print run by a publisher we may need to substitute book titles.

Can I skip a quarter?

Anytime. You can easily do so by signing into your account or by emailing support@thewordytraveler.com and we can help.

Cancellations, Renewal

The Wordy Traveler is a subscription book club. You can cancel anytime by logging into your account or by contacting support@thewordytraveler.com. Gift subscriptions at the time of checkout offer the option of turning off renewal. Non-gift subscriptions renew until the subscription is cancelled. Renewals take place at 3:30am est on the 11th of the renewal month.
